New Delhi: India women finished 2025 on a high note as they whitewashed Sri Lanka women by 5-0 in the T20I series. In the final T20I game of the series, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur led the side from the front and, with her impressive half-century and Arundhati Reddy’s finishing touches, helped India to post an above-par 175 runs in the first innings.
In response, Sri Lanka skipper Chamari Athapaththu departed early, but Hasini Perera and Imesha Dulani made a 79-run partnership, which wasn’t enough, as the other batters didn’t contribute much, and India won the game by 15 runs.
It was a collective performance from the Indian bowlers, as all six bowlers picked up one wicket each. This is India Women’s third 5-0 win in T20Is after defeating West Indies in 2019 and Bangladesh in 2024.
