PTC Web Desk: Royal Columbian Hospital in British Columbia has honoured members of the Punjabi community for their support by naming its emergency waiting area after Crystal Consulting Inc. The hospital took this step after receiving a $500,000 donation through the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation. The contribution was made by Kuldeep Chohan and Gurpreet (Garry) Sangha, both of whom belong to Punjab and have been actively involved in community service in Canada.

Hospital officials said the emergency waiting room is one of the most important spaces, as it is where patients and their families first arrive during medical emergencies. Improving this area helps people feel safer and more comfortable while waiting for care. Royal Columbian Hospital serves thousands of patients every year and is among the busiest hospitals in the region.

The naming ceremony was attended by hospital staff, foundation members and local community representatives. Speakers spoke about how immigrant communities, especially Punjabis, have played a positive role in supporting public institutions in Canada. They also highlighted the importance of values such as helping others and giving back to society.

The hospital foundation said donations like this help improve patient facilities and strengthen public healthcare services for the future.
