Brinjal in front of Sanjay Dutt’s name

But the funniest part of the episode came when Sanjay told that wherever he goes to a restaurant, the staff serves him brinjal dish without ordering! He said laughingly, ‘Whenever I go somewhere, the first thing I come across is brinjal.’ Even in the list of seven rooms, Brinjal is written before his name. People think that Sanjay loves brinjal, but whether he has started liking it now or has just accepted it, the mystery remains why brinjal was added to his name! If your mouth waters after hearing about Sanjay Dutt’s fish tikka, then let’s try a simple and easy fish tikka recipe at home. It is also healthy and very easy to make.

Ingredients for Easy Fish Tikka Recipe, although the ingredients are given only for 4 people,

Ingredients: 500 grams boneless fish (salmon, rohu or any strong fish which does not fall apart) – cut into cubes

1 cup thick curd (hung curd is better)

2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tsp red chilli powder (Kashmiri chilli will give good colour)

1 tsp garam masala

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

salt as per taste

2 tbsp oil or ghee

Some finely chopped green coriander and lemon slices to serve

Method of preparation (step by step):

First of all, take curd in a big bowl. Add ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, red chilli, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric and salt and mix well. This marinade is ready. Now put the fish pieces in this marinade. Mix well with hands so that the masala is coated well on each piece. Cover the bowl and keep it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours (or overnight if you have time). The more marinated it is, the tastier it will be.

Make in oven, tawa or grill:

To make it in the oven, first preheat the oven at 200 degrees. Place the fish pieces on a skewer or on a tray. Brush some oil on top. Bake for 15-20 minutes, turning halfway through. There will be a light charred look from above.

To make it on pan, heat oil on non-stick pan on medium flame. Place the fish pieces and cook for 5-7 minutes on both sides, until golden and crispy.

In Air Fryer: 10-12 minutes at 180 degrees, stir in between.

Take out hot fish tikka. Sprinkle green coriander on top and squeeze lemon and serve. Would be perfect with green chutney or onion rings!

This fish tikka will be soft, juicy and spicy, just like Sanjay Dutt’s favourite! Try it and tell me how you liked it
