Settlement. A large number of women reached a grocery shop in Rudhauli town of Basti district and started shopping at the shop and stole Chyawanprash. A case of theft by a group of women at a grocery shop in Ambedkar Nagar ward under Nagar Panchayat Rudhauli has come to light. The incident is said to have taken place around 6 pm on December 24. According to the information, many women reached the grocery shop of shop operator Munna Jaiswal together.

Some women continued to buy goods, while others stole goods from the shop under the cover of blankets, hiding from the shopkeeper’s sight. After the incident the women fled from the spot. The shopkeeper came to know about the theft when he checked the goods in the shop, in which many items were found missing. After this, the victim shopkeeper handed over the complaint letter to Rudhauli police station in-charge Sanjay Kumar Dubey and demanded investigation into the matter and identification of the accused women.

The video to the incident is also becoming increasingly viral on social media. By sharing the video in various WhatsApp groups of Nagar Panchayat Rudhauli, an appeal is being made to the general public that if any woman is identified then they should immediately inform the local police. Inspector in-charge in this case, Sanjay Kumar Dubey said that the suspected women are being identified on the basis of the viral video. Soon the accused will be identified and the incident will be revealed. It is being told that incidents like this have happened before but shopkeepers do not want to raise their voice on minor losses.
