Amazon Prime subscribers will be happy to know that a brand new thriller starring top-class British actors Riz Ahmed and Lily James is now streaming on the platform. Relay is directed by David Mackenzie and written by Justin Piasecki. Alongside Ahmed and James, it stars Sam Worthington.

The film's synopsis reads: "In Relay, Ahmed plays a world-class 'fixer' who specialises in brokering lucrative payoffs between corrupt corporations and the individuals who threaten their ruin. He keeps his identity a secret through meticulous planning and always follows an exacting set of rules. But when a message arrives one day from a potential client (James), needing his protection just to stay alive, the rules quickly start to change."

The movie has recieved a positive reception since its release, amassing an impressive 82% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The critics' consensus states: "A brainy thriller that harkens back to the gritty verisimilitude of classic conspiracy cinema, Relay might have one reversal too many but finishes the race with aplomb."

"It is pretty gripping stuff," stated film critic Mark Kermode.

Another critic added: "By the time everyone's drawn their guns, I was thoroughly invested. Relay is an old-school thriller with a drum-tight script and real style."

A viewer said: "Incredible film led by compelling performances. Riz Ahmed is unique and skilful in a masterful way. His performance carries the film through this exceptional story."

On the film, a viewer said it was the "best ever" and added: "It's a must-watch if you are tired of today's brain-rotting movies and are looking for a classic style movie we all wish we would see return in 2025 and the future. Please make another sequel. This could branch off into many stores we all would enjoy; one that could turn into a well-loved box set like the Jason Bourne franchise."
