The 18-year-old remains on the outskirts of regular minutes.

If he does not get more chances, especially with games against Portsmouth and Kairat Almaty to come, then the chances of a loan either this winter or next summer have become much more likely.

Selling has been an aspect of Berta’s regime, which is yet to be truly tested or scrutinised. That said, the chance of any major departures appears to be unlikely at this stage.
