Women Cricket Match Fee Hike: The Indian Cricket Board has given great news to women cricketers across the country just a few days before the New Year. This step of the Indian Cricket Board is being considered an important and positive change for women cricket players. An Apex Council meeting was held on Monday, 22 December 2025, in which a proposal was made regarding the decision to increase the fees of women cricketers. This proposal was also passed in the meeting. After which now according to the new rules, female domestic players will be able to earn up to 2.5 times as compared to before.

Earlier, senior women cricketers playing in domestic tournaments used to get Rs 20 thousand per day and reserve players Rs 10 thousand, which has now been increased to Rs 50 to 60 thousand per day. After which now the senior women cricketers included in the playing-11 will get 50 thousand rupees per day and the reserve players will be given 25 thousand rupees, which is about 2.5 times more than before.

How much will be the fees for T20 tournament?

According to BCCI, the women players included in the playing-11 of the National T20 tournaments will be given Rs 25,000 per match, while the reserve players will get Rs 12,500. That means if a female cricketer plays in all formats during the entire tournament, she can get Rs 12 lakh to Rs 14 lakh. This decision of BCCI will not only benefit women cricketers. Rather, match officials including umpires and match referees will also benefit.

Salaries of umpires and match referees will also increase

Apart from women players, the salaries of umpires and match referees for league matches of domestic tournaments will also increase. Now umpires and match referees will get a daily salary of Rs 40,000. Whereas for knockout matches it will be available between Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000. BCCI’s decision of this increase will provide a lot of financial help to the cricketers.
