Malayalam superstar Mammootty is all set to collaborate with director Khalid Rehman once again, six years after his 2019 critically acclaimed film *Unda*. The untitled project is Cubes Entertainment’s third production after the blockbuster *Marco*, which is being produced by Sharif Muhammad.

The announcement was made on Cubes Entertainment’s Instagram on December 21, 2025, featuring a tribute video to Mammootty with the caption: “From Bloodbath to Beastland. Now it’s time for the Big Bang. A Tribute to the Big ‘M’. Cubes Entertainment’s Production #3 Mammooka x Khalid Rehman x Sharif Muhammad.” Mammootty also shared this news on social media and expressed his excitement about this collaboration.

Touted to be a big-budget mass entertainer and a tribute to the actor, the screenplay of the film has been written by Neog, Suhas and Sharfu. It will feature well-known stars from Malayalam and other Indian industries along with top technicians. Production is scheduled to begin in 2026, with more details awaited.

*Unda*, a black comedy-thriller, starred Mammootty as a police officer on election duty in a Naxal-hit area, starring Shine Tom Chacko, Arjun Ashokan and others.

Meanwhile, Mammootty’s latest release, the crime thriller *Kalamkaval* (directed by debutant Jithin K. Jose, music Mujeeb Majeed, produced by George Sebastian under Mammootty’s company), released in theaters in December 2025 and was praised for his stellar performance.
