Delhi Most Affected

The biggest problems are being seen at Indira Gandhi International Airport. On December 21, due to dense fog and low visibility, approximately 110 flights were canceled, and more than 370 flights were delayed. The same situation continued on December 22. In the morning, more than 150 flights were delayed.

Impact Outside the Capital

This problem was not limited to Delhi. Flights to and from Amritsar, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Srinagar, and Chennai were also affected due to bad weather. It's worth noting that fog is having a significant impact in the northern regions, while in southern cities, delays are occurring due to delays in aircraft rotation and congestion at major hubs.

Flights Halted in Srinagar Due to Snowfall

At Srinagar Airport, several flights were canceled due to bad weather and snowfall. Hilly weather conditions and low visibility often make operations unsafe. This is why airlines have to temporarily suspend services.

Meanwhile, IndiGo has also canceled flights on several routes. The airline has issued a travel advisory urging passengers to check real-time flight status before heading to the airport.
