Aryan Khan wins first award for 'Bads of Bollywood'

Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, has won his first award for his directorial debut series The Ba***ds of Bollywood.


At the NDTV Indian of the Year event in Delhi on Friday, Khan was awarded the Best Debutant Director of the Year.


While accepting the honor, he said he loves awards "like my dad," but dedicated this win to his mother, Gauri Khan.




'I hope I get many more awards...'
Acceptance speech




In his acceptance speech, Khan said, "First of all, I would like to thank my cast, crew, and Netflix."


"This is my first award, and I hope to get many more because, like my dad, I too love awards. But this award is not for him."


"This award is for my mom because (she) always tells me...not to make fun of people, and not to use abusive language."


"Thank you for making my mom the happiest woman in the world."




Khan's nani gets emotional during acceptance speech

Khan's nani, Savita Chhibber, was seen getting emotional during his acceptance speech.


In a video, Shalini Passi, who was also at the event, is heard saying to Chhibber, "This is totally impromptu."


"Aryan's grandmother is here and I'm putting you in the spotlight... please, you have to say something."


To this, Chhibber said, "I'm very happy. He is being so successful. My blessings to him."




Khan's directorial debut series received positive reviews
'The Bads of Bollywood'




Khan made his directorial debut with Netflix's The Ba***ds of Bollywood.


The satirical comedy, starring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Bobby Deol, and Sahher Bambba in lead roles, received positive reviews from the audience.


A satirical take on the Hindi film industry, it examines Bollywood's power dynamics and outsiders' struggles to stay relevant.


Meanwhile, Season 2 of the show has been greenlit.
