In a shocking revelation, it has been reported that comedian Conan O'Brien stopped guests from calling the police during an explosive argument between Nick Reiner and his father, Rob Reiner, at his holiday party.


The incident took place just hours before Rob (78) and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner (70), were found dead in their Brentwood home on Sunday.


Reiner is now facing two counts of first-degree murder for their deaths.

An insider told Daily Mail, "They got in an argument, the father and son [at the party]."


"It got so bad and loud [that] someone wanted to call the police to report it."


"But Conan stepped in and said, 'It's my house, my party, I'm not calling the police.' He talked them out of calling the police."


Another source confirmed this statement, adding that some guests were concerned Reiner might need a psychiatric hold due to his behavior.

During the party, Rob confided in some of his buddies that he was "petrified" of Reiner and feared he could "hurt" him.


A source who attended a memorial for Rob and Singer Reiner on Monday revealed that guests were left in tears after hearing these words.


The source said that the director told him, "I'm petrified of [Nick]. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I'm afraid of my son. I think my own son can hurt me."

Multiple reports suggest that Reiner not only had a heated argument with his parents but also displayed erratic behavior with other guests at the party.


An insider told People, "Nick was freaking everyone out, acting crazy, kept asking people if they were famous."


Another source revealed to Us Weekly that Reiner acted "creepily" at the fancy event.

Investigation update




The bodies of Rob and Singer Reiner were discovered by their daughter Romy on December 14.


They had multiple stab wounds on their throats and other parts of their bodies.


The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed that the official cause of death was "multiple sharp force injuries" and the manner was homicide.


Reiner was arrested later that evening and is now facing two counts of first-degree murder for his parents' deaths.
