Broadcaster Kate Scott has amassed a stellar fortune from her illustrious career, but she once saw colleague Jamie Carragher take a poke at her other half. Scott has worked for the likes of Sky Sports and Fox, but now primarily presents for CBS Sports.

The 44-year-old will be front and center in Miami on Friday as Jake Paul takes on two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in a momentous boxing bout streamed live on Netflix.

Scott will lead a panel of presenters, including former heavyweight champ Lennox Lewis, Muhammad Ali's daughter Laila Ali and David Haye. She can usually be found heading up CBS' Champions League coverage alongside ex-Liverpool star Carragher, who endured a frosty interaction with his co-worker in March 2024.

What is Kate Scott's net worth?

Having spent around two decades presenting, Scott has amassed a solid fortune, with her estimated net worth standing at an impressive £2million.

She began her career in Germany with Deutsche Welle, the country's international broadcaster, and soon caught the eye of CNN, where she anchored its World Sports broadcast.

From there, she moved to Sky Sports Germany and soon left for Fox, joining full-time after the 2015 Women's World Cup to present its coverage of the Champions League and Europa League in the US.

After Fox lost the rights to the competition, she moved to TNT and then onto CBS, where she has become revered for her European football presenting alongside Carragher, Thierry Henry and Micah Richards.

Who is Kate Scott married to?

It was at a boxing event in 2021 that Scott met her future husband, Malik. The former heavyweight boxer struck up a romance with Scott, whom he grew close to whilst training in the gym.

Last year, the pair tied the knot during a lavish ceremony in California and a luxurious cake was designed to feature both Scott and Malik inside a boxing ring.

Scott took Malik's surname as she was professionally known as Kate Abdo before her marriage. She took the name Abdo from her first husband, Ramtin Abdo, with whom she was married from 2010 to 2016.

When did Jamie Carragher clash with her husband?

It hasn't been all plain sailing for Scott on CBS, and in 2024, a poorly timed joke left viewers feeling uncomfortable. The incident took place in March of that year, when Arsenal faced Porto in the Champions League.

Scott, Richards, Henry and Carragher were discussing the match as a panel, and ex-Manchester City defender Richards donned an Arsenal shirt. He then urged Carragher to do the same, but he suggested it should be Scott who wears it.

But as a Manchester United fan, she refused and said: "No, I'm loyal. I'm loyal." Carragher then asked: "To who?" to which Scott replied: "Manchester United, thank you very much."

This light-hearted exchange quickly turned sharp, as Carragher followed up with a remark about her being loyal to Malik. Kate was shocked by the statement and said: "What? Why would you even say that?"

Scott and Carragher's exchange went viral and even prompted Mailk to warn Carragher he may be forced to "show up in a physical manner." By the next show, however, the tension was eased over, and the four went back to their trademark humorous ways.
