Dino Morea is no stranger to fame. He started out as a popular model and then became a Bollywood star. People have always been interested in who he's dating, probably as interested as they are in his movies! In an old interview that's making the rounds again, Dino talks honestly about his past with Bipasha Basu , sets the record straight about how he feels about John Abraham , and shares his thoughts on dealing with fame without making a scene.
Clearing the air on the John Abraham rumorsIn an old conversation with Siddharth Kanan, Dino Morea finally spoke about the long-rumored rivalry between himself and John Abraham. Dismissing the speculation, Dino said, “We never had any rivalry. We used to talk to each other and have fun with each other.” He explained that the rumors only began after his breakup with Bipasha Basu and her subsequent relationship with John. “The talk about the rivalry between us started in people’s minds after I broke up with Bipasha, and he started dating Bipasha… media also fueled this,” he added.
‘There was never any animosity’Dino further clarified the timeline that often got distorted in public narratives. “I am clarifying it after years. I and Bipasha broke up, and almost one year after that, they started dating, and I had started dating somebody else,” he said. Questioning the logic behind the rivalry claims, Dino added, “So, why would there be any animosity?” He also revealed that the three of them remained cordial. “People thought that John took my girlfriend, but it was nothing like that. The three of us used to talk, but people made it into something else.”
Life beyond headlines and heartbreakEven though people were always watching him, Dino Morea decided not to respond to rumors back then. Instead, he worked on doing his own thing, letting what he did and how he changed as a person show others who he was. When you look at it now, it feels like his laid-back way of doing things came from being secure and grown-up. The actor’s thoughts gave some understanding of how what the media says can hide what's real. What he said reminded everyone that it’s important to be understanding and patient.
From ‘Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi’ to what lies aheadFor the uninitiated, Dino Morea made his Bollywood debut with ‘Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi’ in 1999, opposite Rinkie Khanna. The film marked the beginning of his journey from modeling to mainstream cinema.
