Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday said that the state government is open to discussion on every issue and is prepared to respond to questions in a structured and constitutional manner. He urged opposition members to participate in meaningful discussions and raise issues concerning public welfare. The Chief Minister was speaking to mediapersons after the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha. He said that matters related to the duration of the House proceedings had already been deliberated upon during the meeting. He also noted that while the Constitution mandates a session within six months of the previous one, the government has convened the Winter Session ahead of the February deadline.

Referring to legislative practices, the Chief Minister said that the functioning of the House depends on the business listed and active participation by members. He emphasized that productive sessions require discussion and cooperation from all sides, adding that disruptions affect the ability to take up important questions and issues. On concerns raised regarding investigative agencies, the Chief Minister said that discussions should be based on facts and clarity, and reiterated the government’s commitment to constitutional values. He also spoke about law and order in the state, stating that police action is taken promptly in criminal matters, though some cases may require time for investigation.

Responding to questions related to sports and safety, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of maintaining law and order and strengthening sports infrastructure. He said that consistent policy efforts have contributed to improved performance by sportspersons over the years.

The Chief Minister concluded by reiterating his appeal for constructive dialogue in the Assembly to ensure that issues of public interest are discussed effectively.
