Odisha is set to organise a significant investors’ meet in Hyderabad on December 18 and 19, as part of its aggressive push to attract fresh investments and accelerate industrial development in the state.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, along with Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain and a high-level delegation from the Industries Department, will participate in the roadshow. The primary objective is to showcase Odisha’s vast investment potential and investor-friendly policies to prominent industrialists, particularly in the Information Technology (IT) sector.

Minister Sampad Swain, while briefing on the programme, emphasised that the Chief Minister and the team will hold one-on-one discussions with key industry leaders. These interactions will highlight the immense opportunities in Odisha, the state’s supportive policies, and the ease of doing business.

“Special emphasis will be given to discussions with major IT investors. During the conference, the Odisha government is likely to sign multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with IT companies,” Swain stated.

He further added that the event will underscore Odisha’s untapped potential in the IT domain and the government’s proactive incentives, which are expected to prove highly beneficial for the state’s economic growth.

The roadshow comes as Odisha continues its efforts to diversify its economy and position itself as a preferred destination for investments across sectors. With a focus on IT, the meet is anticipated to draw significant interest from Hyderabad-based tech giants, potentially paving the way for new projects, job creation, and enhanced technological advancement in the state.

This initiative aligns with the government’s broader vision of rapid industrialisation and inclusive development, bringing fresh momentum to Odisha’s economic landscape.
