Saif Ali Khan talks about his next projectIn an interview with the Hollywood Reporter India, Saif Ali Khan shared, "It's a biopic, and it's Bengali." He went on to call the thing he shared about the film a "bad clue." The actor added, "It sounds much more regional than it is. There will be a bit of a Bengali accent ."
Saif Ali Khan stated that he is looking forward to figuring out the accent part for the movie. The Nawab of Pataudi revealed that he would not be doing anything for three months "except figuring that (accent) out." In the interview, Saif added that he is quite excited to prepare for the project and "really get into it."
He said, "To understand why you’re saying what you’re saying. I just got the line; now I have to understand it."
Saif Ali Khan talks about the last time he prepared intensely for a roleIn the same interview, Saif Ali Khan was asked about the last time he felt that he gave such an effort for a movie. To the same, the actor responded, saying that he has worked hard on all his movies. Khan expressed that if it doesn't reflect or it does show, he has given his all for the movies he did.
The actor acknowledged the fact that he has done a few projects that allowed him deep preparation. He said, "Maybe 'Sacred Games' was the last thing we prepped that way. That was a long time ago."
Saif Ali Khan on his understanding of effortsDuring the conversation, Saif Ali Khan expressed that his understanding of putting in efforts has changed over the years. He said, "Sometimes I feel you can work too hard at the wrong thing."
Khan further stated giving it all doesn't translate into meaningful work. He said, "You spend ages, you bleed all your blood out, and it doesn’t go anywhere. It’s heartbreaking."
Saif Ali Khan added that he now believes in focused work. He said, "More concentrated work with sharp directors who don’t exhaust you. Nine to six, rock and roll, and you’ve done something amazing."
The actor concluded his conversation, saying, "You’ve sweated a bit, but it’s not wasted."
