Citi Developers has announced the launch of AMRA, the world’s first integrative wellness resort, marking a significant evolution in luxury real estate and hospitality. Set within a rare Blue Carbon lagoon in Umm Al Quwain, the landmark development introduces a new global benchmark for wellness-led living, where science-backed wellbeing, fully serviced residences, and resort-style hospitality are seamlessly integrated into one purpose-built ecosystem.

Unlike conventional wellness retreats designed for short-term escapes, AMRA is conceived as a permanent lifestyle destination. Every element from architecture and landscape planning to amenities and operations is intentionally crafted to embed wellness into daily life. The resort draws on the neuroscience-backed concept of ‘Blue Mind’, leveraging uninterrupted sea views, water-centric design, and biophilic architecture to foster calm, clarity, and human connection.

Developed across three towers, AMRA will feature 820 fully serviced residences, designed to support mindful living, longevity, and holistic balance. The project represents Citi Developers’ strategic transition from premium residential developments to integrated wellness hospitality, following the sell-out success of its previous five residential towers.

"AMRA represents our evolution from building homes to building holistic lifestyles," said Zoraiz Malik, CEO, Citi Developers. "With AMRA, we are expanding into the resorts and hospitality sector, and this project will serve as the foundation for AMRA Resorts as a standalone global brand."

To bring this vision to life, Citi Developers has partnered with a lineup of internationally recognised design and experience specialists, including 1508 London and Trush Design, alongside hospitality, F&B, and cultural partners such as Valor Hospitality, Blue Coral Concept, and Eden Art Gallery.

The resort will offer an extensive portfolio of wellness-driven amenities, including yoga and Pilates pavilions, cryotherapy chambers, hydrotherapy pools, meditation decks, rooftop beach clubs, and landscaped wellness gardens. Dining concepts will focus on nutrient-rich, organic, and sustainably sourced cuisine, aligning with AMRA’s holistic philosophy.

Fronting AMRA’s global campaign are actor couple Ed Westwick and Amy Jackson, who also demonstrate their personal confidence in the project by purchasing a four-bedroom residence at the resort.

“There’s something incredibly grounding about AMRA," said Amy Jackson. “The vision reflects a way of living that prioritises balance, nature, and genuine wellbeing — something we truly connect with."

Ed Westwick added: "From the design ethos to the intentionality behind every detail, AMRA represents a lifestyle centred around calm, clarity, and connection. It’s a rare project with a meaningful purpose."

Married since 2024, the couple were selected for their alignment with the values AMRA embodies. "We chose Ed and Amy because they represent balance, ambition, calm, privacy, individuality, and connection," said Shahnawaz Chughtai, deputy CEO, Citi Developers. "Their values align naturally with AMRA’s philosophy of integrative wellness."

From an investment perspective, AMRA is positioned as a compelling long-term opportunity. The development offers resort-grade operational frameworks alongside a 70/30 payment plan with three years post-handover, combining lifestyle appeal with financial flexibility.

The project is scheduled for completion in Q4 2028.
