UP News: The central and state governments are continuously running campaigns to protect children from diseases like polio. Although all the states of the country have become polio free, but the state governments are continuously running campaigns to keep it polio free. On Sunday, an intensive campaign of pulse polio was started in 33 districts of UP. So that the state can be kept polio-free. This intensive campaign of Pulse Polio will run from 14th December to 22nd December. Regarding which, Director General of Family Welfare, Dr. Pawan Kumar Arun said that the main goal of the campaign is to administer polio vaccine to all children up to 5 years of age.
Director General of Family Welfare, Dr. Pawan Kumar Arun said that in these districts, 1.33 crore children aged between zero and five years will be administered polio vaccine. He has appealed to all the parents to make the campaign successful. He asked people to administer polio vaccine to their children up to five years of age during this campaign. Along with this, he said that until the child turns five years old, it should be mandatory to give him polio supplements.

Along with this, he said that 44,726 booths of pulse policies will be set up on the first day of this campaign. Till December 22, 29,360 teams will run this campaign. In which 10,686 observers will be appointed. Who will go door-to-door and administer polio drops to children aged between zero and five years. State Immunization Officer Dr. Ajay Gupta said that the risk of infection is higher in nomadic and migrant families, hence 4,60,489 families have been identified in 16,194 areas. Whereas General Manager of Routine Immunization, Dr. Manoj Shukla said that the state has been polio-free since 2010, although the infection is still spread in neighboring countries. Keeping this in view, such campaigns are being run from time to time in India.

These include Agra, Amethi, Ambedkar Nagar, Badaun, Ayodhya, Banda, Bhadohi, Chandauli, Etawah, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Firozabad, Ghazipur, Ghaziabad, Hathras, Hamirpur, Jaunpur, Jalaun, Kannauj, Jhansi, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Kushinagar, Kasganj, Lucknow, Lalitpur, Mau, Mahoba, Mirzapur, Mathura, Sonbhadra, Pilibhit, Varanasi and Unnao are included.
