The stars of Netflix's biggest shows, Stranger Things and Avatar: The Last Airbender, have been dating for the past seven years. Gaten Matarazzo and Elizabeth Yu got together when they were 15, just as the young actor was finding fame on the second season of Stranger Things . Later, Elizabeth also became an actress with Ray Romano's directorial debut, Somewhere in Queens (2022).

All about Elizabeth Yu, Gaten Matarazzo's partner
Elizabeth, who is half-Korean, was born in New Jersey in October 2002. She and Gaten both attended Pinelands Regional High School in Ocean County, NJ. Elizabeth, who goes by Lizzy with her friends and family, graduated in 2021. The young couple were 15 when they began dating. According to Elizabeth, the couple first met on July 4, 2017, and started dating on March 4, 2018. In 2019, the couple even attended junior prom together.
Gaten has been acting and performing since he was nine and became a global star as Dustin Henderson with the release of Stranger Things on Netflix in 2016. Elizabeth started auditioning when she was in high school and landed Somewhere in Queens in 2022. After graduating from high school, like her boyfriend, she landed a part in a big Netflix series with the live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. She plays Princess Azula. The first season premiered in 2024 and was renewed for two more seasons a month later.
