It's never too early to start planning your next holiday, especially when British Airways is introducing new flights to one of Thailand's most popular destinations.

Earlier this year,British Airways released its 2026 summer schedule, with plans to offer more long-haul flights from London Gatwick and Heathrow to some of the most sought-after getaways. One major addition will see BA operate year-round flights from London Gatwick to Thailand's capital, Bangkok, as part of an upgrade to its schedule.

Bangkok has become increasingly desirable for Brits to explore, with its stunning Buddhist temples, vibrant city life, a catalogue of impressive markets, and world-famous street food. It combines ancient tradition with a modern flair, making it a truly remarkable place to explore - and now it's even easier.

BA will introduce the new flights from Gatwick to Bangkok from next summer, giving you plenty of time to plan your trip. Flights to and from Bangkok will operate three times a week, while the airline will also provide six weekly flights during the winter season.

In total, the airline is set to offer almost 60,000 additional seats for travellers looking to explore the Southeast Asia city next year. Additionally, there are superb connections that allow for further travel to places such as Thailand's largest island, Phuket, and Cambodia's bustling capital, Phnom Penh.

The airline had already welcomed the addition of Bangkok last year, but after a surge in popularity, the new change will see an upgrade from its previous winter-only schedule. The change is hoped to offer holidaymakers "more choice and flexibility" when booking a summer getaway.

During the summer months, visitors to Bangkok can expect temperatures of around 33C, but some rain can be expected during the low season from May to October. However, it makes it a great time to explore the city with fewer crowds and cheaper flights.

BA flights from Gatwick to Bangkok during the summer months next year start from £385 per person, one way. Meanwhile, a return flight starts from around £630 per person.

Furthermore, in its 2026 summer schedule, BA will also be welcoming even more flights to some incredible long-haul destinations. This includes more services to Jamaica, Miami, Dallas, Las Vegas, San Diego, Austin, New York and the Middle East.

British Airways' chief planning and strategy officer, Neil Chernoff, said: "We're delighted to expand our long-haul network from London Heathrow and Gatwick next summer, adding more services to some of our most-loved destinations. Whether customers are travelling for business, leisure, or visiting loved ones, we hope they take advantage of these additional flights, which offer greater choice and convenience, making it easier than ever to connect with their favourite destinations around the world."
