A key suspect in the investigation of codeine cough syrup has been revealed.

The primary suspect in the distribution of cough syrup tainted with codeine, a prohibited drug that may lead to addiction, was identified by the Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) inquiry.


Among the suspects identified are:

  3. Vishal Rana

  4. Pappan Yadav

  5. Shadab

  6. Manohar Jaiswal

  7. Abhishek Sharma

  8. Vishal Upadhyay

  9. Bhola Prasad

  10. Shubham Jaiswal

  11. Akash Pathak

  12. Vinod Agrawal


These people are accused of plotting to produce, sell, or distribute the poisonous cough syrup, which poses a major danger to public health.

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, has reiterated his government’s commitment to a drug-free state.
