Mumbai: In the Agripada neighborhood of Mumbai, a 29-year-old lady was reportedly drunkenly raped by a guy. The event happened between Sunday, December 7, and Monday, December 8, on the night of the interview. Shubham Ramnaresh Mishra, the accused, exploited her solitude between around 11.30 p.m. and 1.10 a.m. Following a complaint from her older sister, the accused was taken into custody.

The lawsuit claims that the 29-year-old accused forced himself on the victim after offering her a drink and driving her to the Agripada neighborhood. The victim was sexually attacked by the accused after he covered himself and her with a bedsheet.

Under Section 64(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, the accused Mishra was the subject of a formal complaint filed by the Agripada Police Station. Following the victim’s sister’s complaint, the police detained the accused and held them until December 12.
