Ashutosh Rana: With “One Two Cha Cha Chaa,” Ashutosh Rana takes on a humorous part that deviates from his usual dramatic roles and enters a refreshing new realm.

According to the actor, playing Chacha was a happy kind of anarchy that gave him the freedom to experiment, push his creative limits, and discover humor in all its raw forms. “Chacha is a beautiful chaos—unlike anything I’ve ever played,” Ashutosh said while discussing taking on this particularly humorous character. I was able to appreciate humor in its purest form, explore freely, and break boundaries in this job.
“After years of portraying intense characters, this movie gave me the freedom to be outrageous, impulsive, and joyfully unpredictable.” It made me realize that humor can be really freeing when performed with sincerity and craziness,” he said.
The “One Two Cha Cha Chaa” teaser was released on social media by the film’s creators on Wednesday. “Love – Laughter – Bullets – Crackers – Drugs – Thugs – Sadness – Madness,” they put as the caption. The comically chaotic plot is hinted at in the trailer. The two main characters, Lalit Prabhakar and Anant V Joshi, are tasked with delivering an enigmatic luggage. As they are about to finish their job, Ashutosh Rana’s quirky and erratic Chacha suddenly appears, steals their vehicle and the bag, and completely destabilizes their plan.
At a special launch event on December 8, the teaser was shown. Along with the project’s creative team, the ensemble cast, which included Ashutosh Rana, Abhimanyu Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Harsh Mayar, Lalit Prabhakar, Anant V Joshi, Ashok Pathak, and Nyyraa Banerji, attended the event.
“One Two Cha Cha Chaa,” directed by Rajnish Thakur and Abhishek Raj, will be released in theaters on January 16, 2026.
