MG Hector Facelift Launch Date: JSW The forthcoming Hector SUV will be formally unveiled on December 15, 2025, according to MG Motor India. The automaker has released a second teaser ahead of that, showcasing the new SUV’s more aggressive and pointed design. The new honeycomb-patterned grille, which has the MG emblem in the center, establishes a powerful tone from the teaser. The fog lights and eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs are placed between the horizontally stacked LED headlamps. However, the headlight design is the same as the previous model. A new alloy wheel design, new exterior paint jobs, and a slightly modified front bumper are all anticipated features.

The new infotainment system with up to 10GB of RAM is one of the technological improvements that are anticipated to improve the in-cabin experience in addition to the redesigned Hector. Additionally, multi-touch gesture controls, like two-finger AC controls, are probably going to be beneficial for the car. A 360-degree camera, ADAS, a digital assistant, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated back seats, a motorized driver’s seat, and more are anticipated features.
The turbo-petrol and diesel engine choices from the previous model are anticipated to be carried over to the 2026. However, given that the Harrier and Compass both have an automatic and a manual transmission option, there is a possibility that the firm may launch a diesel-AT engine. Currently, the Hector may be equipped with either an 8-speed CVT or a 6-speed manual transmission.
The new Hector is anticipated to cost well above Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom) with the 2026 revisions. When it arrives, the Hector will rekindle competition in the market with vehicles like the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Harrier, and Jeep Compass.
