Bigg Boss has been a constant fixture on Indian television for years and with every new season the noise only gets louder. The Salman Khan-hosted reality show aired its Season 19 finale on December 7 2025 and this time it was Gaurav Khanna who lifted the trophy. But within minutes of the announcement social media was flooded with posts calling him an “undeserving” winner.
The reaction may feel new but this pattern isn’t. Over the years many champions have walked out with the title but not with unanimous approval from viewers.

Why is Gaurav Khanna being targeted?
Gaurav’s victory has triggered comparisons with MC Stan who had won Season 16 under similar controversy. A section of fans believes Gaurav did not carry the season with enough impact arguing that other finalists were stronger contenders. Memes debates and criticism have taken over the internet since the finale night.

Tejasswi Prakash
When Tejasswi Prakash bagged the trophy for Bigg Boss 15 the reaction was almost identical. Many viewers were convinced that either Karan Kundrra or Pratik Sehajpal had a more consistent and powerful run. Her win sparked discussions that continued for weeks.

MC Stan
MC Stan’s win in Season 16 remains one of the most debated outcomes in the show’s history. Despite his massive fan following a large chunk of the audience felt Shiv Thakare or Priyanka Chahar Choudhary were more deserving.

Dipika Kakar 
In Bigg Boss 12 Dipika Kakar’s victory didn’t sit well with those who strongly supported Sreesanth. Many believed the former cricketer carried the season with his strong presence making Dipika’s win a “soft” choice by the makers.
