New Delhi : A sudden fire spread due to the explosion of a gas cylinder at ‘Birch by Romeo Lane’ night club in Arpora, Goa last night at 12:04 am. 25 people died in this horrific accident, including many foreign tourists. Due to the fire, there was chaos in the club premises and the fire brigade and local administration teams were busy in extinguishing the fire.

Four people including manager arrested
Let us tell you that Goa Police has arrested four people including the manager of the night club. At the same time, arrest warrants have been issued against both the owners of the club and a search is going on for them. Initial investigation by the police has found that safety rules and standard protocols were not followed, due to which this horrific accident occurred.

CM Pramod Sawant ordered investigation
Immediately after the incident, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant visited the spot and ordered a magisterial inquiry. He instructed the local administration that all possible help should be provided to the families of the victims and the injured should be treated smoothly in the hospital. The CM also made it clear that strict action will be taken against those who violate the rules.

Central government announced compensation
President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep condolence over the incident. PM Modi announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh for the families of the deceased and Rs 50 thousand for the injured. Both the central and state governments have started helping the affected families and have assured that the culprits will be punished through investigation.
