Hapur. The government has given relief news for the farmers of UP. Under the joint scheme of the Central and State Government, farmers will be given financial assistance for installing solar pumps. For this, the Agriculture Department has invited applications from interested farmers.

Deputy Agriculture Director Dr. Yogendra Kumar said that under PM-Kusum scheme, farmers can get subsidy on solar pumps. The application process has started from 26th November and it will remain open till 15th December. To avail the benefits of the scheme, farmers can apply through the department’s website or any public service center.

Five thousand rupees will have to be deposited as application fee. Let us tell you that farmers will be selected through e-lottery system. Selected farmers will have to deposit the remaining amount in the respective bank account. Officials clarified that no payment is to be made to any unknown person or cyber fraudster.

This scheme will reduce the irrigation cost of farmers and they will get the benefit of green energy. Also, this will prove to be a big step in adopting modern technology in the agriculture sector. To avail this benefit, farmers should complete the application through online.
