A big update has come out regarding IIT JEE Advanced (JEE Advanced 2026). Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has announced the date. The exam will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026 in various cities across the country. Let us tell you that in 2025, IIT Kanpur had organized the examination on 18th May. Who will be able to apply?

To appear in the Advanced examination, candidates will have to rank in the top 2,50,000 in JEE Mains 2026. His date of birth should not be after October 1, 2001. Whereas the date of birth of SC, ST and PWD candidates should not be after October 1, 1996. Candidates will be allowed to appear for JEE Advanced examination for two consecutive years. Meaning, if you have appeared in the Advanced Examination held in 2024 and 2025, you will not be able to appear in the examination to be held in 2026. Class 12th or 12th pass candidates can apply.

The Advanced Examination consists of two papers. Both are mandatory for the candidates. 3 hours are given for each paper. Admit cards will be released 6-7 days before the examination. In this, other information including the name and address of the examination center will be available.
