Washington. US President Donald Trump, who made a series of claims non-stop in his quest to win the Nobel Peace Prize, received the FIFA Peace Prize. US President Trump was awarded the first FIFA Peace Prize during the draw of the FIFA World Cup 2026 held on Friday at the Kennedy Center in Washington. Trump, who calls himself the greatest ambassador of peace, has been given the first FIFA Peace Award. The award was given during the FIFA World Cup draw held in Washington on 5 December. FIFA President Gianni Infantino honored Trump with a medal and trophy, saying that the award encourages the work done to promote peace and unity around the world.

On being awarded the FIFA Peace Prize, Trump claimed his role in various conflicts around the world, including Congo, and said that the world is now safer. He said that this is one of the biggest honors of his life. The White House has shared a post in this regard on the social platform X saying that the FIFA Peace Award reflects President Trump’s dedication to peace. It is noteworthy that the Football World Cup 2026 is being jointly organized by America, Canada and Mexico. The tournament will start from June 11 and 104 matches will be played in 16 cities. However, many questions are being raised regarding Trump being given the first FIFA Peace Award during this sporting event. A large number of people are criticizing the linking of such a big sporting event with political messages.
