The 2026 FIFA World Cup draw grabbed worldwide attention - with supporters across the globe glued to their TV screens to find out which countries would battle each other for international football's biggest prize.
The night was packed with surprises - although some drew criticism from viewers - who were left scratching their heads at the lengthy duration of the draw. That's also not to mention the numerous segments put together by FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
One of the major decisions of the night was appointing former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand as one of the key presenters for the event, with him taking the spotlight for the crucial moments. The ex-England player guided viewers through the process, breaking down why specific nations ended up in certain groups based on the draw regulations.

During breaks between each pot selection, Hollywood actor Danny Ramirez mingled with the audience, as well, chatting to ex-footballers including ex-Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure.
The former Ivory Coast star was quizzed about his nation's draw, before Ramirez made an awkward observation about Toure and Ferdinand in front of the assembled crowd.
Ramirez said: "I know you and Rio, you used to play for rival clubs. Are you guys friends now?" Toure said in reply: "Yeah, yeah, yeah."
Ferdinand appeared somewhat irritated by the question, though, with the United great saying: "Haha, what you trying to do here Danny? I know you're trying to get in the middle here, what are you doing?"
Ramirez then said: "I'm trying to start it up," before Ferdinand replied: "But, I haven't really forgiven Yaya for that 2012 title race where they took it off us but it's fine... I'm over it man, come on, let me live man."
It capped off an awkward reunion for the duo - who had clashed numerous times during their Premier League careers. Ferdinand went head-to-head with Toure on 12 occasions throughout his playing days - securing three victories, drawing twice and suffering seven defeats, demonstrating who dominated that particular battle
Toure was at Barcelona for three of those matches, though. The 2011/2012 Premier League title race remains an uncomfortable topic for those United stars who participated in such a nail-biting sprint to the finish.
It was United who were commanding the summit, having wrapped up victory against Sunderland. That's before Sergio Aguero's legendary stoppage-time strike clinched the crown for neighbours City on the final day.
