England will be desperate to level the series when they take on Australia in the second Ashes Test in Brisbane at the Gabba. Having slumped to an eight-wicket defeat inside two days in Perth, Ben Stokes' team will look to regroup and go again in the day/night Test at the Gabba today. Travis Head's blistering century completed an astonishing Australia fightback in Perth. In the first two-day Ashes Test since 1921, Head dismantled the England attack with the second-fastest Ashes hundred of all time, made off only 69 balls.
England have now rolled the dice with their team selection for the second Test at the Gabba in Brisbane, recalling all-rounder Will Jacks for a first appearance in three years. While captain Stokes has been forced to reassure Shoaib Bashir that he is still England's number one spinner - despite leaving him out. The second Test is scheduled to run from Thursday, December 4, to Monday, December 8.
