Soybean Rate: An important update has come out for soybean farmers in the state. Now the soybean market is slowly picking up and due to this there is a big satisfaction on the face of the farmers as well. Soybean is an important crop in the state of Marathwada and Vidarbha.

Madhya Maharashtra also cultivates this crop on a large scale and the farmers are also getting good income from this crop. But the past few years have been disappointing for the soybean crop.

The reality is that farmers are not getting the expected income from this crop. Firstly, the per acre productivity of soybean crop is continuously decreasing and secondly, the goods produced are not fetching the expected price in the market.

For the past two years, soybeans have fetched less than the guaranteed price in the market and this has left farmers in debt. This is the reason why the area under soybean cultivation has decreased this year.

On the other hand, heavy rains have also hit the soybean crop this year and the soybean market is booming now that there is a possibility of a huge decrease in production due to this. Meanwhile, soybeans fetched a price of Rs 8200 per quintal in a big market in the state today.
