The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a big decision to give a new impetus to the real estate sector of the state and complete the projects that have been pending for two decades. It was implemented in the year 2005 during the tenure of Mulayam Singh Yadav. Integrated Township Policy The projects under which licenses were given were stuck for a long time. Now the Yogi cabinet has cleared the way to take those projects forward again, which will remove 20 years old obstacles and speed up development work.

In the year 2005, the government of the then Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav had implemented the Integrated Township Policy with the aim of accelerating urban development in the state. Under this policy, 15 private developers were given licenses to develop townships. These projects planned to create a complete urban model with modern housing, commercial space, green areas and community facilities. But with time many obstacles emerged, due to which most of the projects were stuck in limbo.

This policy was amended in the year 2014, after which new standards came into force. But almost half the developers could not get their township maps passed as per the prescribed standards. Due to this, neither the construction work could proceed nor the common citizens could get the proposed facilities.

Due to these stuck projects, thousands of buyers, local citizens and developers were in a state of uncertainty for years. Now, the recent decision of Yogi Cabinet is expected to provide relief to all of them. The government has clarified that developers who are close to meeting the standards or have made genuine progress on the project will be given another opportunity so that the incomplete township plans can be completed.

The objective of the government is to ensure that the real estate sector in the state grows in an orderly manner and increases confidence among investors. The major benefit of this step will be that long pending land development and housing construction work will now be able to proceed. Experts believe that this will not only give a big boost to real estate but will also have a positive impact on the economy of the state.

This decision is also being seen as giving respect to the plans of the previous governments. The Integrated Township concept, started during the time of Mulayam Singh Yadav, was aimed at creating a world-class urban model in the state. Now with the direction given to these projects by the Yogi government, it is believed that this decade old ambitious plan will finally be able to get off the ground.

After this decision of Yogi Cabinet, new hopes have arisen among everyone from developers to common citizens. It is expected that construction work will soon resume in those townships whose future was hanging in the balance till now. This step will not only accelerate urban development but will also move Uttar Pradesh towards modern and planned cities.
