Chhatarpur Naib Tehsildar Slap Video: A shameful picture has emerged from Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh, where Annadata’s daughters are being slapped instead of being respected. Naib Tehsildar Ritu Singh publicly slapped an MA student standing in the queue of farmers facing shortage of fertiliser. The only fault of the student who came to help her parents was that she had asked for a token. As soon as the video of this incident went viral, there was a stir in the administration and questions were raised on the attitude of the bureaucracy.

Actually, there was a huge crowd for fertilizer in Satai Agricultural Market. Farmers were standing in lines since morning and were alleging that the officials were involved in black marketing of fertilizers. A student named Gudiya Patel was also standing in the same crowd. When he asked for the token, the Naib Tehsildar got angry. It is alleged that the female officer not only slapped the student but also pulled her hair. The farmers present there told that Madam had also grabbed the collar of a farmer and also pushed and shoved the women.

Daughter left studies and started standing in line

The victim student Gudiya Patel is a resident of Para village and is doing MA from Girls College. She told that she had left her studies to help her parents and was working in the fertilizer line. According to Gudiya, she was in the queue since 9 am, but did not get the fertilizer till 1 pm. When she asked for the token, the Tehsildar said that women would not get tokens, only men would. When asked again, madam lost her temper and slapped him. Gudiya clearly said that she had not committed any indecency, yet she was insulted.

Collector served notice, removed from duty

The video of the slapping spread like wildfire on social media. After this, Chhatarpur Collector Partha Jaiswal took the matter seriously. He has removed Naib Tehsildar Ritu Singh from duty with immediate effect and issued a show cause notice. It is clearly written in the notice that this act is against the Madhya Pradesh Civil Services Conduct Rules 1965. Additional Collector Milind Kumar Nagdeve has confirmed that a reply to the notice has been sought and if the reply is not found satisfactory, strict punitive action will be taken.
