Three Manchester Unitedplayers are all-set to depart the club on loan next month. Chido Obi, Ayden Heaven and Diego Leon are the trio in question, with United head coach Ruben Amorim ready to allow them to gain more first-team experience during the second half of the season.

First, Obi hasn't played a single minute of senior action for United during the 2025/26 season after Amorim decided to leave him in the Under-21s for this campaign. He has since shone, netting five times in 13 matches.

The 18-year-old, who made eight first-team appearances for the Red Devils last term, is continually improving and there are whispers the next step is to loan him out in the January transfer window.

Indeed, The Sun reports that United are open to loaning Obi out next month to help further his development by gaining more first-team minutes in the EFL or National League.

Heaven, 19, is another player United are aiming to loan out. The youngster made a name for himself when he was thrust into the limelight by Amorim last season, particularly impressing against his former club Arsenal.

However, like Obi, Heaven has found regular first-team game-time hard to come by this term. He has clocked up just 28 minutes in the Premier League, coming on as a second-half substitute against Fulham and Brighton.

And with Lisandro Martinez's return from injury, Heaven has been demoted to being third-choice left centre back, behind the Argentine World Cup winner and England international Luke Shaw.

Heaven's spot on the bench could also be in jeopardy when Harry Maguire returns to fitness in the coming weeks. Heaven recently had a stint with the U21s against Solihull Moors in the National League Cup.

Leon, another United youngster, is being tipped for a loan move. The prodigy, born in 2007, joined the Reds from Cerro Porteno over the summer, but has yet to make his first-team debut.

Despite being included in their senior matchday squad four times, Leon's playing time has been with the U21s this season. He netted his first goal for Travis Binnion's side in a 4-1 victory over Tottenham in October.

Goalkeeper Radek Vitek has thrived since his loan move to Championship team Bristol City in the summer, while full-back Harry Amass has impressed with Sheffield Wednesday. Both Vitek and Amass appear ready to step up to United's first-team squad next summer.

While the Reds could recall Amass due to their issues at left wing back, the club believes it's best for him to continue his development on loan at Wednesday.

Ethan Wheatley, a 19-year-old forward for England U20s, has scored three goals and provided two assists in 17 games for League One outfit Northampton Town. Meanwhile, midfielders Ethan Ennis and Dan Gore have seen plenty of action at Fleetwood Town and Rotherham United, respectively.
