'Gracious, down-to-earth': Madhuri Dixit remembers late Dharmendra

Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit recently paid tribute to the late superstar Dharmendra, who passed away at the age of 89, after health complications.
Speaking to ANI, she remembered him as a "gracious," "down-to-earth," and "handsome" person.
The two actors had shared screen space in the film Paappi Devataa (1995).
Dixit fondly remembered Dharmendra's favorite song
Fond memory
Dixit recalled a sweet memory of Dharmendra enjoying her hit song Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas Tum Rehti Ho.
She said, "I worked with him, I think in one film he was there. Amazing person."
"You know, his favourite song for me was Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas Tum Rehti Ho. Oh my god... And that fits so nicely, for him also."
Dixit praised Dharmendra's versatility as an actor

Dixit also praised Dharmendra's versatility as an actor. She said, "Reinvented! Absolutely. Chupke Chupke, I mean that was such a lovely movie."
"But he always had that!"
When asked about the twinkle in Dharmendra's eyes, Dixit fondly remembered his iconic Basanti scene from Sholay where he gets drunk and says, "Chakki peesing..."
Dixit attended Dharmendra's prayer meet
Tribute
Dharmendra, fondly known as Hindi cinema's He-Man, passed away on November 24.
A prayer meet titled Celebration of Life was held by the Deol family on November 27 in Bandra to pay their respects.
Dixit attended the prayer meet with her husband Shriram Nene.
The late actor's last movie, Ikkis is set to be released on December 25.
