Mumbai Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi is going to be seen playing the role of famous filmmaker V. Shantaram in his biopic. The makers showed Siddhant’s look as V. Shantaram. Camera Tech Films shared the poster of Siddhant’s look as V. Shantaram and wrote: The rebel who reshaped Indian cinema is back on the big screen, where he should have been. In the poster, Siddhant is wearing a white dhoti-kurta and a brown blazer. Also seen standing confidently with the camera. The announcement poster features Chaturvedi in the title role of V. Shantaram, long known as a visionary of Indian cinema.

According to Variety, the film traces Shantaram’s remarkable journey from the silent era to the advent of sound and colour, charting his evolution as one of India’s most influential filmmakers. V. Shantaram was born as Shantaram Rajaram Vankudre in 1901. He was about to create a new identity in Indian cinema, whose career lasted for almost seven decades. He started two large film studios, Prabhat Film Company and Rajkamal Kalamandir in 1942 and directed the first Marathi language talkie, Ayodhya Raja, in 1932. According to Variety, his films, which include classics like Duniya Na Maane (1937), Do Aankhen Barah Haath (1957), Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baaje (1955) and Navrang (1959). She was known for her technological innovations and progressive social themes on issues like communal harmony, dowry and rehabilitation of prisoners. Known for his spectacular sets, unique song picturization and signature style of visual symbolism. He used cinema as a medium for social change throughout his career. He received India’s highest film honor Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1985.
