In Madhya Pradesh, Panchayat and Rural Development Department did work related to Panchayat building, road construction, livelihood mission, NREGA and water conservation in the last 2 years. CM Mohan Yadav gave instructions to speed up schemes like IT based monitoring, model village and easy connectivity.

Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that it is the big responsibility of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department to create employment at the village level, provide cleanliness and bring villages into mainstream development by connecting them with roads. These activities improve the standard of living of common citizens. The schemes of this department will make an important contribution in fulfilling the resolution of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of “Developed India 2047”. He said that maximum use of modern techniques related to information technology should be made for better implementation and monitoring of schemes.

Achievements of 2 years of major departments presented in departmental meeting

The Chief Minister was addressing the meeting organized in the committee room of the Assembly on the achievements and priorities of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. Minister Prahlad Singh Patel, Minister of State Radha Singh, Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Neeraj Mandloi and departmental officers were present in the meeting. In the meeting, a presentation of the achievements and innovations of the last 2 years of Mahatma Gandhi NREGA, Panchayati Raj, PM Awas Gramin, Swachh Bharat Mission, State Livelihood Mission, PM Agricultural Irrigation Scheme, PM Poshan Shakti Nirman, Rural Road Development Authority and Rural Engineering Service was given.

Coordination of all departments is necessary for overall village development.

The Chief Minister directed that the Panchayat and Rural Development Department along with other departments related to agriculture, cooperation, fisheries and rural development should implement the schemes in a coordinated manner according to the concept of holistic rural development. He directed to rapidly advance the Chief Minister Vrindavan Gram Yojana and prepare a special development action plan for semi-urban and big gram panchayats. Panchayats located between urban bodies were asked to jointly develop roads and other necessary infrastructure.

  • Infrastructure Development: Panchayat Bhawan, Community Bhawan and Good Governance Bhawan
  • Construction of 2,472 Gram Seva Sadan (Panchayat Bhawan) approved
  • 106 Atal Good Governance Building (District Panchayat Building) approved
  • 5 Atal District Good Governance Building approved
  • Approval of 3,560 community buildings (cost Rs 855 crore)
  • Narmada Parikrama Path and River Source Conservation
  • 231 shelter places on Narmada Parikrama Path
  • Fencing worth Rs 7.50 crore approved for plantation at the source of 89 rivers.

  • Determination of selected villages in 155 assembly seats of the state completed
  • Water Conservation and 'Jal Ganga Enhancement Campaign'
  • 60,428 works (Rs 1,368 crore) in Campaign 2024

Skill training programs were started at the local level for the youth in these areas.

'Bima Sakhi' program with LIC

  • 1,258 Self-Help Groups were onboarded as Bima Sakhi.
  • Learning Management System and Monitoring App
  • Training of self-help groups started on LMS.
  • Use of the app for monitoring SHG meetings.

Hygiene based curriculum in schools

Hygiene related subjects have been added to the school curriculum.

Action plan for the next three years

  • Completing work with high quality and on time
  • All approved activities will be completed on time and with quality.

Steps towards self-reliant Panchayat

  • New income sources will be developed to increase Panchayat income.
  • To develop the villages under Mukhyamantri Vrindavan Gram Yojana as model villages.
  • Each selected village will be prepared as a model village.

Amendment in rules for semi-urban and big panchayats

Gram Panchayat rules will be rationalized. A centralized online portal will be implemented for registration and development of colonies in rural areas.

Chief Minister Easy Connectivity Project

Dual connectivity will be ensured in the villages, so that transportation can be made easier.

Yashoda Milk Supply Scheme

Arrangements for providing nutritious breakfast to Anganwadi and children up to class 8 are continuing.

Modern kitchen sheds will be operated by self-help groups in Sandipani schools.

Social media based cleanliness campaign

Activities will be carried out through social media to increase public awareness about cleanliness.
