Sports: Indian cricket team’s leading all-rounder Hardik Pandya returned to the cricket field after a long time. In the match between Baroda and Punjab as part of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Tournament on 2 December, Hardik batted brilliantly even though he was expected to perform better in bowling.
Hardik Pandya played a brilliant inning of 77 runs in 42 balls against Punjab in this match. During this, he took the ball across the boundary 11 times, which included 7 fours and 4 sixes. However, his bowling was disappointing, giving away 52 runs in 4 overs and taking just 1 wicket. Nevertheless, Hardik’s batting played a vital role in Baroda’s victory. Now it has become clear that he will play in the T-20 series against South Africa.
Hardik Pandya was injured during the Super 4 of Asia Cup 2025, due to which he could not be a part of the team in the final. However, now the good news is that he is fit and all set to play in the upcoming T20 series. Pandya is an important player for white ball cricket, and his playing talent plays a big role in the balance and performance of the team. If he remains healthy, his role in the team will be as a key batsman and fast bowler.
An interesting scene was seen on the field when a fan entered the field to meet Hardik Pandya during Baroda’s bowling. He was trying to take a selfie by getting very close to the star all-rounder, before security officials intervened. The video of this incident quickly went viral on social media, in which Hardik hinted not to be harsh with the fan.
