UP News: The Yogi government of UP has given a gift to the employees posted in municipal bodies. Under which Yogi government will give old pension benefits to the employees of municipal bodies. For which the Yogi government has also issued a government order. However, only 255 employees will get the benefit of old pension. Whose joining took place after April 1, 2005. Actually, the advertisement for recruitment of employees in municipal bodies was issued before 28 March 2005. But these employees were recruited after April 1 of the same year.

Know what is the whole matter

Actually, the Uttar Pradesh government had issued a notification for the recruitment of 255 employees in municipal bodies. This notification was issued before March 28, 2005, whereas the employees had joined these posts after April 1, 2005. The old pension scheme was discontinued in the country from January 1, 2004. In such a situation, these employees of municipal bodies also do not get the benefit of pension, but the Yoga government has given the benefit of old pension to these employees. Now the Urban Development Department has issued an order to give old pension benefits to these employees.

This order has been issued by Special Secretary Urban Development Kalyan Banerjee. In which it has been said that under this decision of the government, all those officers of administrative, revenue, accounting and engineering cadre will come under the purview of the old pension scheme. Which have been selected in relation to the requisitions advertised before 2005.

The government placed this condition

It has been said in the order that the benefit of old pension will be given only to those employees who have been selected through Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission and Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission. Also, their service should never be broken. After the government order was issued in this regard, Anuj Jha, Director, Local Urban Bodies, issued instructions to include the eligible employees in the pension scheme in all the concerned municipal bodies.
