Lucknow, 1 NovemberBahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president Mayawati has expressed concern over the incidents of suicide by BLOs during the SIR process in Uttar Pradesh, He raised the demand that major issues including BLO should be properly discussed during the winter session of Parliament, BSP chief Mayawati wrote on social media platform

He wrote, “Our party wants that both the sessions of the Parliament should be conducted in an orderly and peaceful manner. The important issues of the country and public interest, especially the huge problem due to air pollution in the capital Delhi etc. and the practical problems and objections being faced regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list, the problems of the BLOs who are the main perpetrators of this work, the tragic incidents of suicide being committed by them, can be properly discussed. At the same time, these Meaningful efforts can be made towards finding appropriate solutions to the problems.”

He urged that merely making allegations and counter-allegations will not work, but to run the Parliament smoothly to serve the larger country and public interest, both the government and the opposition need to rise above political interests and be completely sensitive and serious.

Let it be known that these days the process of SIR is going on in Uttar Pradesh, due to which the opposition parties are cornering the government and the Election Commission. Meanwhile, some BLOs have also lost their lives. BLO committed suicide in Bahedi of Bhojpur area in Moradabad, UP. Police and family members have found a suicide note from the spot. However, there are many reasons for all the incidents that have happened recently.
