The third installment in Rian Johnson's acclaimed mystery series, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, is set to premiere on Netflix on December 12, 2025.

The film continues the story of detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) and features a more serious mystery than its predecessors, Knives Out (2019) and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022).

Film synopsis

The film follows Reverend Jud Duplenticy, a former boxing champion turned priest, who is sent to a troubled rural ministry after a fight at his previous parish.

There, he finds Monsignor Jefferson Wicks, a church leader disliked by the community due to his connection to a rumored inheritance.

The plot thickens when Wicks is found dead on Good Friday with a weapon seemingly connected to Jud.
