Heat all rooms you use during the day – keep the living room at around 18 to 21°C (64 to 70°F) and the rest of your home at least 16°C (61°F).
If you can’t heat all your rooms, make sure one room stays warm throughout the day.
Have your heating boiler and appliances serviced annually by a registered engineer to protect against the dangers of carbon monoxide.
If there are icy conditions outside, wear shoes or boots with suitable grip
