Five days after the demise of veteran Bollywood star Dharmendra, his friend Shatrughan Sinha reached his house. There he met the members of the Deol family and paid tribute to Dharam ji. Shatrughan has given information about this meeting on social media and has told how he felt after meeting the Deol family. If 79 year old Sinha is to be believed, he was still in Delhi. As soon as he reached Mumbai, he decided to meet the Deol family first. 89-year-old Dharmendra died on November 24 due to age-related complications.

Shatrughan Sinha has shared a bunch of pictures with Dharmendra on social media and while giving information about meeting the Deol family in the caption, he has written, "After returning to Delhi, with a very heavy and sad heart, I went to the house of our dear family friend and elder brother Dharmendra. It was heart touching to meet his beloved sons Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and his charming wife Tanya, his handsome son Dharam and especially Aryaman. They It was great to meet everyone and remember Dharam ji. He (Dharmendra) will live forever in the lives of many people he touched. I pray for his soul's peace and courage in this time of grief."

After Dharmendra's death, Shatrughan Sinha paid tribute to him.

Shatrughan Sinha had earlier paid tribute to Dharmendra through social media on 25 November. While sharing some of his pictures with Dharmendra and Hema Malini, he wrote in the caption, "Deeply saddened by the tragic demise of our dear family friend and elder brother Dharmendra. Luckily, we have beautiful memories to cherish, because we have done many films with him. A true legend, a very nice and kind person. In this difficult time, I express my heartfelt condolences to Hema Malini, family, friends, well-wishers and fans." And pray for courage for them. Om Shanti."
