Papua New Guinea cricketer found guilty of robbery in Jersey


30 year old wicketkeeper of Papua New Guinea Kiplin Doriga Has been found guilty of robbery in the island of Jersey. He is sentenced to three years in prison. The incident occurred when Doriga earlier this year ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League I had come to represent my country. During the visit, he attacked a woman and stole her mobile phone.

The following day, Doriga was formally charged with robbery and appeared before Jersey Magistrates’ Court, where he pleaded guilty on 27 August. Then, on Friday, 28 November, the Royal Court of Jersey sentenced him to three years in prison.
