Following this warning from Airbus, IndiGo, Air India and Air India Express issued statements saying that services of A320 series aircraft in their fleet may be temporarily affected. According to sources, 200 to 250 such aircraft in India will require an immediate software update or hardware replacement as required.

According to news agency PTI, the airlines will have to ground the respective planes for some time to make these improvements. Following a serious incident involving an A320 aircraft of American low-cost airline JetBlue, the Airbus A320 series aircraft have been extensively grounded.
