PTC News Desk: India star cricketer Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal have updated instagram bios amid wedding postponement. The couple was all set to tie the knot on November 23, but the ceremony was halted and postponed after the cricketer's father fell ill and was immediately hospitalised. 

Following Smriti's father's hospitalisation, Palash also fell and was rushed to the hospital after complaints of acidity and viral infection. He was initially hospitalized in Sangli and was later shifted to SRV Hospital in Goregaon, Mumbai, where doctors declared him fit to return home on November 26.

India cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues has chosen to remain in India to support her close friend and teammate Smriti Mandhana, instead of going back to play for Brisbane Heat in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). The franchise has given her permission to skip the rest of the tournament for her friend.

This decision came after Smriti Mandhana and Palash’s wedding was unexpectedly paused, which drew huge attention online. Fans noticed that Smriti had deleted all her wedding and engagement photos and videos, including her proposal posts, from Instagram. The removal of posts and the couple’s silence led to speculation and rumours spreading on platforms like Reddit, Instagram and X.
