More about the postponement of wedding
Just hours before the wedding ceremony Smriti Mandhana’s father reportedly fell seriously ill and had to be hospitalised leading both families to urgently postpone the wedding until his condition stabilised.
Soon after Smriti removed all her wedding-related posts including engagement photos and pre-wedding celebrations from social media which left many fans confused and also led to a wave of online speculation including unverified cheating rumours that quickly spread on social platforms.
The sudden pressure and negativity surrounding these rumours along with the emotional stress of the family emergency also affected Palaash who was said to be unwell and advised to rest. Despite the silence from both Palaash and Smriti their families have reassured that the wedding is not cancelled only delayed until circumstances improve.
