The first star from this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! has been eliminated.

Following two rollercoaster weeks deep in the Australian jungle, it ended up being former footballer Alex Scott, who was ultimately instructed to leave camp for the first jungle exit.

All the celebrities had a chance to earn their immunity from the vote during the live trial, but those that missed out to their rival in their challenge were put up for the public vote.

Leaving her campmates behind, Alex looked somewhat relieved. She then made the famous walk over the bridge to meet presenters Ant and Dec for the first-ever exit interview of the series.

Before looking at her best bets she told the duo: "Oh my days. It's like being free!"

Following the live trial, the celebrities were reunited as one back in main camp, as they excitedly made their way back in, became reacquainted with their beds and changed back into their official camp gear.

Talk in camp soon turned to the results of the live trial, that meant Jack, Alex, Ginge, Aitch, Martin, Kelly and Ruby were all up for eviction.

Kelly said of the upcoming first vote: "I'm trying not to think about it too much, I just know that I'm gonna enjoy tonight not knowing if tonight is gonna be my last night."

Speaking about reuniting, Aitch reflected about his time spent away from the main camp: "Doomsville will forever have a place in my heart. Born in Manchester, raised in Doomsville, ya get me."

As there were 7 losers in the live trial (as neither Aitch and Ginge won due to disqualification) the 7 losing celebs chose amongst themselves at random for the 6 campmates to take part in the challenge.

Martin sat it out, which meant, Jack, Alex, Ginge, Aitch, Kelly and Ruby headed to take on the challenge to win their dinner for camp.

In earlier scenes shown during the episode which aired on Friday (November 28), the celebrities each gave a farewell speech to the rest of the group, sharing what they had taken from the experience and if they went home, what they would miss the most.

As their final night as a camp of twelve came to a close, there were reflections, emotions and memories aplenty.

When asked if they were disappointed at being the first to leave, they admitted: "It's been such an incredible experience. Mentally it's so tough. I'm so glad I got to do this series with such an incredible group of campmates."

She also said her favourite part of the experience was the laughter and how the group bonded. Alex also hinted at some camp secrets yet to be revealed as she shared that the dunny smells were horrible and they knew who was responsible for it but wouldn't say because "he's a national treasure".

Fans were quick to react to the first elimation and share their thoughts. One posted on social media: "Sad to see Alex go first, I wish we'd got more screen time of her tbh."

Another added: "Jess Glynne proposal incoming?" While a third commented: "Sad to see Alex be the first one out. Beautiful, humble, lovely person."

I'm A Celebrity continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV1, ITVX and STV.
