The Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026 Mega Auction witnessed intense bidding wars and record signings as franchises vied for top talent ahead of the new season.
A total of ₹40.8 crore was spent as teams secured 67 players, with 23 of them being overseas names.
While several emerging stars bagged massive money, some marquee players even went unsold.
On this note, we list down the players to bag at least ₹2 crore at the auction.
Deepti Sharma - ₹3.2 crore
#1
Team India's World Cup-winning hero Deepti Sharma emerged as the costliest buy after UP Warriorz re-acquired her using their Right to Match (RTM) card for ₹3.2 crore.
Notably, Deepti was also the WPL 2024 Player of the Tournament. She has slammed 507 runs from 25 matches in the tourney at 28.16.
Her tally includes three half-centuries. She also owns 27 wickets at 29.29 with her off-spin.
Amelia Kerr - ₹3 crore
#2
New Zealand's Amelia Kerr was the top overseas buy of the auction, going for a whopping ₹3 crore to Mumbai Indians.
Last season, she was awarded the Purple Cap for taking the most wickets (18) in the tournament.
In three seasons of WPL, Kerr has played 29 matches, scoring 437 runs at 24.27 and taking 40 wickets at 17.90.
Sophie Devine - ₹2 crore

Another Kiwi star, Sophie Devine, who earlier represented Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), bagged a ₹2 crore deal with the Gujarat Giants.
Devine made her WPL debut in 2023 for RCB.
She scored 266 runs in eight innings that season at an average of 33.25 and a strike rate of 172.72.
